Approach your craft from a place of curiosity and you'll be better equipped to do what it takes to work in this industry for the long haul. Remember, you are Auditioning For Your Career, Not The Job!

 

How to start?  Do one of these a week. Set aside 20 minutes, record on your smart phone, and practice scooping the lines off the page.  See the pictures (or 5 second movie) for every person, place, thing, and event in your material. Practice using clichés, as-ifs, and thru-lines. Then play the same scene from another character's point of view, knowing only what that character knows.
